You are looking at a premium pair of solid brass Steampunk goggles. This one is our famous FLEX model, designed back in 2005 and being popular ever since.
As all of our Steampunk goods - it is handcrafted from scratch, using high quality authentic materials and traditional craft techniques.

Here is the list, that provides you with all the required information about this fine product and it's properties:
Frames – made of solid brass. Outer diameter of the frames - 52mm, inner diameter 42mm. Brass was mirror polished.
Lenses - standard lenses made of 3mm perspex (Please contact us in case you're interested in optical prescription lenses or sun protection).
Flexible strap holders – made of 2mm thick brass sheet. Brass was mirror polished.
Plating on the frames – made of 0.4mm brass sheet. Brass was mirror polished.
Gears - authentic brass gears, 0.6mm brass. Brass was blackened chemically.
Oculars – made of 2mm veg-tanned leather, finished with Fiebing's "Atom Wax" to achieve additional smoothness and rich gloss.
Padding rims – made of soft 1mm calfskin. The padding is hand-stitched to the oculars with waxed polyester thread.
Strap – made of 2mm veg-tanned leather, finished with Fiebing's "Atom Wax". The straps are 1.55 cm wide and long enough to fit even the largest head sizes and being worn over aviator caps or cylinder hats.
Strap buckle and loop – classic "roll buckle" made of steel and anodized with brass. Very durable.
Screws and nuts – solid brass. Threading is standard 3mm.
Leather edges – burnished and waxed.

These brass Steampunk goggles are fully wearable and fit perfectly. One size fits most head sizes and is unisex.

In this particular design the lenses can't be swapped easily - they are tightly secured in the frames. The frames are very solid, strong and a bit heavy. The lenses are rather thick, and if broken (which is extremely improbable), they don't shatter like glass. The frames can withstand almost any blow, and, if not shot with a gun, put into a car crusher or thrown into a melting pot (highly not recommended!) will likely serve you for a lifetime. However, these Steampunk goggles are a novelty item after all, so, we do not recommend using them while working with acids or other hazardous materials.
We ship via Express Mail Service (EMS), which is USPS Express in the US and Express Post in other locations. We provide tracking information right after the order is shipped. Shipping usually takes up to 10 business days.
In addition to all this, we want to add some important notes. Practically, all our goggles are made from solid brass and veg-tanned leather (sometimes using mild steel, tin or copper rivets) – we don't use "faux leather", synthetic materials or plastic. The only unauthentic parts are perspex lenses and polyester thread – and this is only for reasons of safety and reliability – we do not want shards of broken glass getting into eyes of our clients, nor do we want ocular padding falling apart after two or three years of usage. Our products are meant to last.
